Will the xbox wireless adapter work with an xbox 360?

I put the wireless adapter Xbox 360 on my list of birthday and my grandmother got for me, the only problem is that it has received the Xbox wireless adapter. Not the Xbox 360. Is regular work with the adapter Xbox 360?

Yep, dude. It works very well indeed. I ended up buying the original Xbox adapter, because it's only $ 50.00.

Edit: Oh, and you do not need to use the installation disk for use on a 360.

Will the old xbox wireless adapter work with the xbox 360? If so how do you set it up?

I just got an xbox 360 and i dont want to spend $100 dollars on the 360 wireless adapter. I often take my xbox 360 over to my friends houses and they have wireless internet. Is it easy to change wireless connections? if you could answer this soon it would be greatly apprieciated.

The original Xbox wireless adapter will work with the Xbox 360.. it connects to the Xbox 360s ethernet connection..

<update>
I was searching around for more information and I found this: (from link below)
the original xbox wireless adapter DOES work on the 360 because that's what I use because I was too cheap to buy the new small white one. BTW you don't need to install the drivers like you did on the original xbox. It's pretty much plug and play.

<update 2>
check out the second link for Microsoft instructions to update the MN-740 (original Xbox wireless adapter) firmware to work better with the Xbox 360..

Soniq Rush Gaming Headset Amp Kit Review

Here's where we ask and answer the magical question: Are you getting enough sound? I'm here to tell you about my aural adventures with the Soniq Rush by XJacKer and address that particular issue... In spades! The Soniq Rush is a double duty little gizmo that actually serves so many uses I've yet to run out of ideas. It was designed to make it so that your good PC headset can be used with the Xbox 360, but it goes with nearly anything you output sound to whether it be headphones or seperate speakers.

What you get:

The package is a simple one, and if you're into only wireless gear, then this is not for you. This stuff is wired and proud of it. That's where they keep the big stuff baby, and this little nugget packs it in. You get the unit itself that has a headphone jack, the power USB and the connection through to the source. Your mic, if required goes as usual on the PC and for the Xbox 360, a connector for the controller is supplied. You also get the other adapters

First off, I got the original adapter for my 360 when I first got it. It was a complete wast of money. The adapter I think was complete garbage. It did not work very well at all, weak signal and every thing. Now this new adapter is coming out and it. Looks like it has 2 antennas to make up for the weak connection of there old one. I think that this item should be boycotted. The main reason is because of the price tag for it. $100 dollars? come on , were do they get off. Most adapters cost much less for your laptop or PC . People who buy this product should know that they are getting rip off.

“Been wireless gaming since this gen as Robo_1. Wireless gaming is perfectly fine. It usually depends on your ISP and wireless network (hardware) that dictates whether you have problems or not. Either way, my PS3 and PC’s offer me lag free online gaming and decent download speeds.”

Wireless gaming is fine until you play a competitive game (such as modern warfare). I don’t know how many friends I have recommended wiring up their xbox and hearing them say how much less “wtf”s they are having. It makes a huge difference for fast paced games.

“Getting rid of the missus nagging (caused by 10m of ethernet cable going through the living room) – priceless…”

Staples to create a tidy line of cable around the wall = $5.

This just goes to show how utterly fucking lazy humanity in general is, that they’re rather spend $100 an adaptor than a few dollars on wires and staples to set up a decent wired connection.
