How do you make the original xbox wireless adapter compatible with xbox 360 ?

I have an Xbox 360 and just bought a wireless adapter original Xbox because its way cheaper and I heard he was still running. But now that I have I can not make it work. I also do not have access to the wireless network directly (not mine). I have a notebook that receives the wi-fi I can not speak to the ISP and ask them to change the parameters of something like that if I needed it.

A router sends Wi-Fi signals to electronic devices such as your Xbox 360. I recommend getting a Linksys WRT54G model number brand. It costs about $ 40 ~ 60.
Edit: Mel, you just have bad luck with your Xbox 360. All friends and I have the Xbox 360 to have it for a year now and it works perfectly well, what you say is useless ... He did not even answer his question either ...

Why is my Original Xbox Wireless Adapter not working?

I have an Original Xbox Wireless Adapter (not the 360 wireless) and I use it to connect to Xbox Live on my 360 when all of a sudden the lights don't even turn on, and its obviously not detected at all. I tried to unplugging the power supply for the adapter then replugging it in but it still won't work. No green lights and not even red light at all.
If you end up having to buy new equipment, go with powerline instead. I promise you it will work with future xboxes as well. It will also work if you decide to go with a playstation. Any device that comes with an ethernet port it will work with.

Also with powerline, you will never have to worry about the complicated nature of setting up wireless. This is completely plug and play. You don't have to worry about neighbors accessing your wireless network.
Best Buy sells powerline. So does newegg.com.

We used the Mixamp 5.8 while sashaying around our abode, and must say its 5.8GHz technology kept our audio crystal clear in most instances despite our abode being bathed in 2.4GHz and 5GHz waves of WiFi from a dual-band router. Using a pair of Grado SR60s and Astro's own A30 headphones for testing, we found that sound was faithfully reproduced as long as we were within range of the TX. As for the system's range, signal began to break up once we were 25 feet from the TX unit, and at 30 feet the signal cut out completely (though range was increased by another ten feet with our in-house WiFi switched off). We also had issues if we walked into another room (about 20 feet from the TX with two walls in between) and turned the RX at just the right (or wrong) angle. The system generally worked well, with only the occasional hiccup as we strolled throughout our one-bedroom apartment.
