How do i add a hp wireless printer to windows xp?

I recently took off Windows Vista and XP installed my old, so now everything has been formatted and I began slowly. How can I add my wireless HP printer? I do not see that adding a wireless device anywhere on xp? Please help. My printer is a HP Photosmart D7460. I tried to install the driver, but said I have no USB ... but I cannot get around that.

Wireless / Ethernet printing has been added in Vista, but XP, you must go to HP.com and download the install software to detect the printer and you will.

How do I get my desktop to recognize my HP wireless printer?

I have a desktop that I use a verizon card for internet service. I purchased a wireless HP printer today. Is there any way that I can get my computer to recognize this printer? Thanks

Verizon "wireless internet" is NOT the same kind of "wireless" as the printer uses,

the Verizon is essentially a data mobile phone in a card
the printer uses Wifi (local networking on wireless)

To use the printer you'd need a wireless router, or you need to plug a cable into the printer.

I recently tried the HP LaserJet M1217nfw multifunction printer, and it was an enjoyable experience. That's a strong word, I know. I've said it before, but I'll say it again--just as I hoped that wireless would become ubiquitous in printers (and it largely has), I'm now hoping that HP will equip all of its printers with HP Smart Install, which takes care of installing the printer's drivers without the need for plugging in a CD. Sure, you still get a CD (in fact, you get two with this printer, one that includes scanning software), but they're optional. That means you'll be using this printer five minutes after you open the box.

With that behind us, let's take a look at this all-in-one printer, which costs just over $200 at the HP store. It's a monochrome laser printer that offers wired and wireless networking, scanner, fax, and copier. It's very fast (rated by HP for as much as 19 pages per minute)--first pages came out in about 9 seconds, with pages flying out in less than three seconds
