Why is the red light flashing on my Microsoft Wireless Mouse 7000 after only ONE week of operation?
Oct 10, 2009 by Freddy Krueger | Posted in Other - Hardware
I recently purchased a new computer with the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 7000. After using the mouse for only one week, I placed it on the charger before going to bed. The next morning he was impotent and there was no green light or red. When I removed the charger and placed it back on it started to blink slowly in red. Now I know that this means that the batteries are too low and should probably be repleced ... but it's only been a freakin 'week! Is it broken or what? I have never dropped or anything. I do not understand. Microsoft Not impressed! If this is a common problem, then it is my opnion that this product is undesirable.Anyone care to change my opinion?
It is difficult to say how long ago the batteries were made and how long after their original charge that you bought them and reload them. It could be that they are defective, who knows? You might try and take the mouse and the charger to the shop and explaining what happened, or if it was mail order, the customer support call. Anyway, there's a good chance they will be happy to replace it for you. You never know until you try.

Charging a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000?
Jul 17, 2008 by webharv | Posted in Other - Hardware
Should the mouse be turned OFF or ON when the mouse is put on charge in the charging dock, the charging does not seem to work, even though the light flashes to show it is docked in the charger properly?
Thanks
Leave it on. Dump it in the dock. Make sure the metal contacts are clean and when you put it in the dock it should light up.
