HP launches first WiFi mouse, no dongle required

Computing on the go comes down to convenience as much as it does performance. You don’t want lots of wires and devices to have to remember, weight can be an issue, and connectivity is becoming ever more important.
Wireless devices help a lot as it removes the wires that so easily get tangled in a bag. But you still have to remember the receivers that allow those wireless devices to work. Even the nano receivers you can plug in and forget about do go missing.

HP has a solution to that issue when it comes to using a mouse. It has managed to remove the need for a receiver while allowing the mouse to remain wireless. The solution: send the signal over WiFi and take advantage of the wireless receiver already built into your laptop.
It’s a clever idea and manages to remove yet another piece of kit from your bag while freeing up a USB port at the same time. HP also guarantees the mouse won’t interfere with other signals on the same WiFi connection meaning you can use it alongside an Internet connection.
