Free computer classes offered at Sunset library

The South St. Landry Community Library will hold free computer classes made available through the State Library of Louisiana, through the summer.
The classes are open to any Louisiana citizen. It is not necessary to be a patron of the South St. Landry Community Library or a resident of the parish.

Schedule of classes:
9 a.m.-5 p.m. today Microsoft Office Word 2010, Level 1: This course is the first in a series of three Microsoft Office Word 2010 courses.
9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 16 Microsoft Office Excel 2010: Level 1: This course teaches how to enter and edit data. Students enrolling in Basic Excel should have experience with Windows 7 Operating System environment or have taken Computer Foundations and Introducing Windows.
9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 30 Getting Going with QuickBooks: Students will learn how to set up a new company, manage bank account transactions, maintain customer, job, and vendor information, manage inventory, generate reports, and other functions.
