How do I fix my wireless network card?
Jul 08, 2006 by vanotodd | Posted in Computer Networking
My wireless card started disconnecting on me and I have to click "repair my connection" 500 billion times it seems like to get it reconnected. The wireless card is definately unstable. I have tried getting an update for my wireless card but my card seems up-to-date. I have also tried running virus and spyware programs to try and solve the problem and it had not found anything that would stop it from working. I even resorted to restoring a previous save point in XP that I knew that my wireless card was working properly.
I am lost if there is anyone out there that has either experienced the same problem and found solutions or someone who knows their wireless network cards , I am all ears.
I would uninstall the driver and reinstall it. If this doesn't work then you could try a different driver. You will get a message saying "windows does not think this driver is right...." but I have had success doing this several times. After telling you that, if you try to update your new driver windows will then tell you that you are using the best driver! The easiest way to go about this is to remove the driver and then go to Add New Hardware and let Windows search for new hardware and install the driver automatically for you.

Using a Wireless connection in Hyper-V | tudy .ro - Tudor Damian

If you’ve ever installed Microsoft Hyper-V on a server that has a wireless network card and has the Wireless LAN feature enabled, you have probably noticed Hyper-V does not support connecting virtual machines to wireless network adapters (it only lists the existing wired physical adapters when offered the option to create the Virtual Adapters).
The technical reason for this is really simple: in order to perform the virtual networking required by Hyper-V, Microsoft implemented an OSI layer 2 filter driver that creates network packets with the MAC address of the appropriate virtual machine. Unfortunately the wireless networking standard explicitly forbids the creation of network packets with different MAC addresses to that of the physical computer (for obvious security purposes).
As a primarily server-focused product, this is a reasonable limitation for Hyper-V. But all is not lost, as it is actually possible to setup an internal virtual network and use Internet Connection Sharing to make this work. The first thing to do is to create a new internal virtual network switch:
Open the Hyper-V Manager and select your server. Select Virtual Network Manager… from the action pane (on the right). Select New virtual network and choose to Add an Internal network. Give the new virtual network the name you want and then click OK .
Now, onwards to setting up Internet Connection Sharing:
Open the Control Panel and open Network and Sharing Center . Select Manage network connections (or Change adapter settings in Windows 2008 R2) from the list on the left. Locate the icon for your wireless network adapter, right click on it and select Properties . Go to the Sharing tab. Check the Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection
