Do i need a notebook card to connect to internet with my wireless router?

I get a new place with broadband internet (dial up I used previously) and I know I need a wireless router to connect to the internet, but do I also need a map of laptop wireless?

Yes, of course, but most likely your laptop already came with a wireless network card.
But if you do not want, then you can get a wireless USB, which works the same, but you should get a wireless card for convenience.
I would also recommend getting a wireless N card, because it is the newest card out there and is able to have a wireless range of over 300 feet.

Gifts for the grad

Everyone knows that gifts can range from a nice card all the way through a new car. So, to help you narrow the field we have put together this handy list of what is new and what is hot:

If the grad you are buying for needs a technology upgrade, CNET.com lists these five items as the most popular choices, based on the number of people who view the item online:

* Smartphones: The iPhone is the top-selling smartphone, but there are slew of Android models out there, too. While smartphones don't come cheap, parents could bundle it with a wireless plan and send their child off to a new job or to university with one and request/demand they phone home one ce in a while.

* Netbook and Notebook computers. A must for post-secondary students, personal computers of today allow for storage, organization, entertainment and communication all wrapped up in one. Most cost between $500 and $1,000 dollars.

* Personal Audio Gear: An excellent pair of headphones changes music dramatically. An iPod dock allows you to listen to music with friends. A Bluetooth head set allows you to talk legally on your cellphone while driving. These are tech gifts that are always useful, and generally start in a lower category of cost. But figure on paying around $100 to get anything of quality.
