How can you configure a Netgear wireless card to work with a Linksys speedbooster router?

I installed a Netgear wireless card PC, but it does not work ... Is it possible to configure a Netgear card to work with SpeedBooster Linksys router?

The two brands are not important, they should work very well together.

Is there any way to increase the range of my Netgear wireless card.?

I own a Netgear usb wireless adapter. I am trying to get a stronger connection to the router from my room. I live in a dorm and own a desktop computer. Any way i could increase my range of my card. It a very expensive usb wireless. It was the one with the 10x range.
I have no control over the router. It is managed by the dorm.

There is tips you can improve your wireless:

Call your IT where you live dorm to upgrade better router signal.

If possible, use Ethernet line connect to your computer desktop. This is strongest connection and better than wireless.

Add a wireless repeater to boost signal

To quiet the noise, avoid wireless electronics that use the 2.4GHz frequency. Instead, look for cordless phones that use the 5.8GHz or 900MHz frequencies.

Router manufacturers regularly make free improvements to their routers. Sometimes, these improvements increase performance. To get the latest firmware updates for your router, visit your router manufacturer's Web site.

While a Linksys router will work with a D-Link network adapter, you often get better performance if you pick a router and network adapter from the same vendor.

Upgrade 802.11b devices to 802.11g or 802.11n: N wireless is longest and powerful signal.

Upgrade to a hi-gain antenna that focuses the wireless signals only one direction.

Furnishing a Closet by the Sea

It wasn't quite ready that night but was all washed up and ready to roll when I dropped by a few days later. The lease deal was just as described – a few thousand down and a monthly payment of about $400, including maintenance. Like many consumers, I don't like to dicker over price and, realistically, as the dealership had only one AWD in stock, my chances of chipping at the price seemed minimal.

The Tiguan, a “crossover,” is everything the VW Touareg is not. It's small where the Touareg is big and economical where the Touareg is boastfully expensive. Cargo room is not great but with the back seats down, it's big enough to jam in two big chairs and a few lamps or end tables.

Its 2-liter turbocharged engine and 6-speed electronic transmission make for a very lively little package. Cargo space is big enough for most chores and gas mileage on several trips up and down the Turnpike and around Long Island worked out to 24.9 miles per gallon. Handling and acceleration are excellent and the all-wheel-drive makes this overgrown Jetta feel like it's nailed to the road.
