Can I use a Linksys wireless card instead of a Microsoft Wireless Network Adapter to connect to XBox Live?

I have a Linksys Wireless Network Card and I want to use to connect my Xbox 360 to Xbox Live. Do I need the wireless adapter from Microsoft or any other material to be on Xbox Live or is it good enough Linksys card?

I have a router installed and I use the Linksys network adapter to connect. It says 2.4 GHz and runs on 802.11g and 54 Mbps.

I tried to connect my Xbox 360 but still says no network card when I test my connection. Please help me by telling me how I can link them or show me a site that wil tell me.

Listen I have the best answer, I bought a wonderful product for $ 28 dollars (including shipping) on ebay. It must be the best thing I bought my 22 years on this earth check this website at the bottom or just goto eBay and type in Logitech Play Link Wireless Extension. Believe me you get this and you will not be disappointed, "she said compatible with the Xbox 360 on the side of my box. I use it since Christmas with no problem! and very easy to connect!

Cleaned virus' off, then internet connection lost.
Same 2wire Modem router works for wireless laptop.
Diagnosis run on Linksys wireless card all OK
Running under XP proffessional -

What settings should be checked to see what problem might be?
Neither entering WEP key nor resetting power made any difference.... more ideas, anyone?

Unplug the power supply on the 'Linksys' box for 20 seconds & plug it back in. That usually works.

Is the Media Centre PC dead?

Do you still need a computer in the lounge room?

There was a time when I thought that the Media Centre PC was the Holy Grail of home entertainment. I’ve got a high-end Windows 7 Media Centre PC in my lounge room, which I built a few years ago for a magazine feature. Were I to rebuild my home entertainment system today, I’m not sure I’d bother dropping in a high-end PC.

Media Centre PCs are jack-of-all-trades devices which can handle all your entertainment needs, but they can be fickle and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them to someone looking for a entertainment system which “just works”. If you’re concerned about the WAF then you might find a Media Centre PC brings more grief than joy.

I’ve been playing with Media Centre PCs for a decade. In that time we’ve seen the rise of many AV devices which can perform similar roles. You’re unlikely to find one gadget to do it all, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s better to take a best of breed approach to home entertainment. Find a few gadgets with overlapping feature sets and then invest in a Logitech Harmony remote so you can easily drive it all from the one stick (which does wonders for your WAF).
