Can i use my wii and its wireless internet capability as a "wifi extender" so i can use xbox live?
My current setup:
HDTV,
XBOX 3606
Wii,
My cable modem is in another room with a Linksys wifi router. Currently my Wii is connected via wireless, but my xbox has no Internet. Could i turn my Wii into a wireless extender?

Nope.. Sorry..
Actually there are two problems..
One is that the Wii doesn't have an ethernet port (unless you buy the wired network adapter for $30) so there wouldn't be any way to connect the Xbox 360 to the Wii..
The second problem is that the Wii is more than a network terminal than a pass through device.. there isn't any way to configure the Wii to bridge a wired adapter to the wireless one..
Your cheapest alternative would be to buy one of the original Xbox wireless adapters.. they will work with the Xbox 360 as well and you can pick them up cheap..

Point of View: Can You Hear Me Now
In a day and age when many people feel cell phone coverage is a constitutional right, I feel like a bit of an anomaly. Living in North Haven, I have adequate coverage at my house, though sometimes have a dropped call in other places of the village. Honestly, I don’t care. Many people I’ve spoken with don’t care either; they embrace the rural nature of our hamlet and are happy to say “call me on my landline.”
That said, I would not presume tell others that they should not care about their cellular service. Perhaps they want to ditch their landlines, engage in business out of doors, or watch Hulu in the Hot Tub. Who knows? Similarly, I would hope those who want the best coverage possible would not presume to tell me not to care about our beautiful natural environment in North Haven. Ours is a rural beauty that decades of Trustees have guarded assiduously. Now, the majority of our village trustees want to throw all that away and erect a 140-foot cell tower.
So in the interest of improving cellular coverage and preserving the rural character of North Haven, are there options other than a 140-foot cell tower? Most certainly, and better ones. For one, AT&T is offering free MicroCells to customers in low coverage areas. A MicroCell works as a signal extender, boosting your broadband connection to a new 3G connection within your home for very good coverage.
Wifi range extender? - The Liverpool Way
If you have a mac airport extreme as your main modem, then get airport expresses to add to your network where you need to boost your signal. These have the added advantage of being able to add speakers to the express so you can pipe your Itunes around the house, and of course you can add printers or hard disks to the extreme and use them from any computer in the house. These can be PCs or macs. In fact you don't need a mac at all to do all of this.
