can you use a nintendo wifi usb adapter for ps3?

I have a nintendo wifi usb connector (manufactured by Buffalo) and I like how it works for Wii and DS, but it will work for the PS3? I do not buy a router if I did not. Thank you.

No, sorry.

Where can I buy a nintendo wifi usb connector that is not online?

I want to buy a nintendo wifi usb connector to get my wii online but my parents won't let me use their credit card. Is there any store that you can find one at that isn't online.

Seems like it's been discontinued until further notice. Nintendo recommends other means of connecting online. Maybe they had some sort of defect. They have instructions on the site. The full info is at this link:

If u have a wireless router in ur house then u can connect just fine. Just set-up ur connection on ur Wii and it'll find ur in-house connection.

Ask LH: Which Wi-Fi Router Should I Buy?

Dear DSWF,

Sorry to hear about your dead router. Think of it as an opportunity, though, to upgrade your wireless and wired home network. Modern routers have a lot of nice features your old router may not have had (depending on when you bought it, of course), so let’s look into some of your options. We’ll try to address some common scenarios and features that may appeal to you.

The Basics: Things Your Router Should Have

You’ll definitely want to make sure the router supports the latest WPA2 security rather than just WPA or, even worse, WEP. Most current routers support WPA2, but free routers from an ISP can sometimes be really outdated.

If you’re building a wired network with clients that have gigabit ethernet adapters, also look for a router that supports that fast gigabit transfer speed.

Also make sure the router supports Wireless-N (802.11n) for fastest transfer speeds; Wireless-N is backwards compatible with Wireless-G (802.11g) and Wireless-B (802.11b) devices, so your older computers and gadgets will still be able to connect to it.

Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector Review

The Nintendo WiFi USB Connector costs $40. Its purpose is to create a Wi-Fi signal in your home that either your Nintendo Wii console or Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi handheld system can pick up for online function - allowing you web access, the ability to download games and channels, and also to experience free online multiplayer in various Wii and DS games against anyone around the world. Some factors that may hinder the USB from working include strong firewall settings or router settings so you may need to contact your ISP or perhaps the maker of your router for help. The official Nintendo website also provides thorough instructions for any errors or problems you may be having so it can guide you step by step through common problems and solutions. One thing I notice about the USB is that it gets hot very quickly. That hasn't seemed to affect gameplay but I recommend only plugging it in when you intend to play online just incase. The connection itself is decent at best - you'll want to make sure nobody else is using internet in your home to ensure the connection is its fastest and the closer you are to the USB, the better your connection will be. With the USB, I'd recommend against online play with players across the country or internationally as you may experience heavier lag. According to the official Nintendo site, "The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector has been discontinued until further notice. As an alternative for on-line access, DS owners can use a standard wireless router or Hotspot location." You can find those at nintendo.com. So the only method to get it now appears to be from online dealers or eBay & Amazon.
