I was looking for a Bluetooth dongle for my computer but everyone I find is not compatible with Vista and I read many complaints that they do not work. I finally found one that works, but every single online retailer is sold out of it, of course. Does anyone use a dongle that works well with Vista? All suggestions are appreciated. Oh, and I can not use a USB cable because there is no driver available for my phone.
They may not be so difficult to find

Can I still use mu Bluetooth usb dongle with Windows Vista?
Feb 13, 2007 by mylenekeane | Posted in Add-ons
I tried downloading an upgrade for my bluetooth usb dongle but when i download, it cant find my bluetooth even if its plugged in! Is there any bluetooth usb dongle available for vista? Otherwise what other solutions can you offer other than using my usb bluetooth dongle?
Bluetooth technology has to be standardized in order for it to be compatible with other bluetooth hardware. I think most bluetooth dongles use the same basic driver and their should be no problems in connecting it. This would be something I would hound microsoft tech support about. There should be no reason your device wouldnt work.

Polaroid Grey Label GL10 Instant Mobile Printer

ZINK technology, which we've also seen in the Polaroid PoGo Instant Digital Camera ($200 street, 4 stars) and Pandigital Portable Photo Printer ($130 street, 2 stars), is still new enough that you may not be familiar with it. Briefly, the name is short for zero ink , the point being that paper is the only thing you need to load in the printer. The ZINK paper includes its own ink (in the most generic sense) embedded in the paper as clear dye crystals. The printer creates an image by using heat to activate the crystals, so they'll show color.
The GL10 differs from earlier ZINK printers in two key ways. The first generation printers were limited to 2- by 3-inch photos. The GL10 prints at 3 by 4 inches. More important, the image quality is far better.
The Basics Because the GL10 prints larger photos than the first-generation ZINK printers, it's necessarily a little larger itself. At 1.0 by 4.5 by 5.8 inches (HWD), and 15 ounces, it's a little too big and heavy to stick in a pocket, but small and light enough to carry around without much effort.

So I got this last week, plugged it in and was able to connect my phone easily. I did a couple syncs that day to see that everything was working right. Then the day after I went to sync again and it didn’t work. After inspection, I found that windows was now saying the device was unrecognized. I’m running 64-bit Vista, so the software on the mini-CD that came with the dongle didn’t work.
I went to Bluesoleil’s website to download their software. Browsing their site I found their software which I started downloading. It was going to take hours to get it. Then I realized it was the 32-bit version anyway. I had to do a google search on their site to even find the 64-bit version. Attempting to download that only got me a page not found error. I ended up finding an alternate site to download the software from. However, installing that did not help me at all. I still can not get Windows to recognize the dongle.
So after all that, I guess I’m buying another bluetooth dongle. This time it’s going to have a real brand name.
$6 (incl shipping) is about as cheap as they come, but $6 for one day’s use – not so cheap.
The bluetooth adapter has been a pain since day 1, I suppose it works well for what it does, but to get it to actually work with Windows XP is a joke! The package came bundled with a mini CD that included bluesoleil 6.4 – a standard utility that includes drivers for the dongle (I guess) and a few minutes after I installed it a message popped up that said I was a victim of unauthorized duplicates of the software and it would go into evaluation mode with a 2MB cap! So far I haven’t found a utility that works yet, although I think if you have Vista or Windows 7, they include standard software for advanced profiles, good luck with this one. I’m starting to wonder if it was even worth the $5 shipping
This worked well until I connected it to a second device....
